Stress is a cocktail of symptoms comprising  physical sensations, thoughts and behaviours that we experience in response to a perceived threat to one or more of our physical and/or emotional needs.

Like anxiety, stress is natural and is part of our inbuilt survival system. For this reason experiencing some level of stress is unavoidable. However, when we experience stress over a period of time (aka chronic stress) it can have an adverse impact on our physical, emotional and mental well-being.
